Day 2 has ended at the partypoker.net WPT Montreal Main Event at the Playground Poker Club and there are just 49 remaining from the initial field of 732 players. They played deep into the money tonight after Anthony Zinno was eliminated on the bubble after the dinner break.
The chip leader at the end of play tonight is Maduka Meragal with 1,423,000. Other big stacks were bagged up by Marc-Andre Ladouceur (1,071,000), Mukul Pahuja (1,024,000), Phillip Hui (909,000), and TJ Ulmer (800,000).
The notables that cashed tonight included Paul Volpe (90th), Cornel Cimpan (85th), Elliot Smith (78th), Mike Mcdonald (74th), Darren Elias (69th), Xuan Liu (67th), and Scott Clements (60th). Each of the players who survived the day are guaranteed to make at least CAD $ 10,120, and Monday’s Day 3 begins at 12:00 PM ET.
