The final table is set at the partypoker.net WPT Montreal Main Event. The field came back with deep stacks at the start of Day 4 here at the Playground Poker Club, so it took a long time to play down from 18 to 6.
We reached the final table shortly after 9 PM, and the leader at the end of play is Jonathan Jaffe (pictured above) with 7,495,000. Jaffe held the chip lead at the start of play today, as well, and he played solid throughout the day to stay near the top of the leader board throughout Day 4. Jaffe will be looking for his first WPT title, but he has a lot of tournament experience and career earnings of $ 1,590,325 according to Hendon Mob poker database, so he should be tough to beat with so many chips.
The main story line to follow tomorrow will be to see if the Season XII WPT Player of the Year, Mukul Pahuja, can win his first WPT title. He made the final table here in Montreal one year ago, and took second place. If he can improve on that finish tomorrow Pahuja will earn his spot in the WPT Champions Club. He enters the final table in fifth chip-position so he will need to get moving early if he wants to catch the massive chip stack of Jaffe.
Rounding out the final table will be local pro Samuel Chartier (2,065,000), familiar face Kevin MacPhee (1,570,000), Guillaume Nolet (2,060,000), and the second largest stack at the final table will be Ratharam Sivagnanam (6,845,000).
